Christmas Charity Concert 2017 - 16th December 2017

Christmas Charity Concert 2017

One Voice Community Choir raise £1800 for two local charities.

Once again, Preston Minster was filled with the sound of the jubilant and energetic sounds of Preston's One Voice Community Choir. The sell out concert featured a mixture of  both traditional and contemporary Christmas music, with special musical arrangements written by Tyndale Thomas MBE.

This year the Choir were delighted to be joined by a number of fantatsic and talented school children, from local schools who, following school music workshops, performed a number of songs to raise Christmas cheer.

This year the nominated charities were Headway Preston and Chorley, a charity supporting head injury survivors and also Brian House Children's Hospice, who support terminally ill children.  As well as representatives from both charities, the Choir were delighted to be joined by the Mayor, Mayoress and Deputy Mayor of Preston.

A huge big thank you to all those who got involved and participated in the event and to all those who helped raise the fantastic sum of £1800!

See you next year!
